One to One Lessons



Individual lessons offer a supportive environment where you can learn at your own pace and where postures are chosen therapeutically depending on your requirements. Beneficial for beginners wishing to learn technique and postural alignment and advanced students wishing to refine their practice.


Individual tuition can be particularly beneficial for postnatal or injury rehabilitation and is also great for general toning and wellbeing. A full musculoskeletal assessment is carried out to design a bespoke Pilates programme combining mat-work small equipment and use of the pilates reformer.


Yoga is an ancient philosophy and practical system for physical development and spiritual well-being. Yoga practice can help to improve flexibility, strength, concentration and balance, at the same time reducing stiffness and sluggishness, cleansing the body and relaxing the mind. At One Life Studio our priority is to teach the practice in a way that is safe and sensitive to your individual needs and body type.

Hatha Yoga

Improves flexibility, strength, concentration and balance through a series of flowing movement sequences, meditative, sustained postures, Pranayama and relaxation techniques. Postures can be modified depending on your level.


Vinyasa Flow Yoga

A creative mix of flowing sequences and challenging postures, this dynamic style harmonizes breath and movement, bringing strength, grace and freedom to the body. Often using music to bring an uplifting or relaxing aspect to the practice. 


Restorative Yoga

This class will hold the space for you to relax and unwind, encouraging a state of ‘being’ to prevail. Give yourself permission to ‘un-do’, tune into the flow of your own breath, reflect on the felt sensations and experience stillness within the movement of the breath. Allow your body & mind space to release habitual holding patterns as the nervous system balances with calm and restoration.



​Originally called 'Controllogy', Pilates was created by Joseph Pilates in the 1920's as a way of overcoming physical limitations within his own body. He developed a series of exercises which focus on the core muscles first, specifically the stomach and back. Pilates is a gentle, non-aerobic exercise method which lengthens and strengthens the muscles and improves core stability. Because Pilates works in a slow and controlled manner it is suitable for people of all ages and abilities and can be especially helpful in rehabilitation after injury or for lower back pain sufferers.

Mat-work Pilates

working on the mat and with some small equipment such as bands and over balls this is a gentle, non-aerobic exercise class which lengthens and strengthens the muscles and improves core stability and posture. Pilates helps to re-educate the brain and the body to address muscle imbalance and restore good posture and flexibility. Beginners classes will introduce students to the basic principles and exercises. Intermediate classes will build  from the basics to incorporate more challenging flowing sequences.

Pilates for Women

Pilates for women will lengthen, strengthen and sculpt your body whilst improving spinal health much like any other Pilates class, however it is tailored specifically for the female anatomy so if you have an injury/issue you need help with, or you are returning to class after having a baby or simply want to learn a bit more about how the female body works then this class is for you.
